A worm rests on a yellow columbine that is displayed against a textured background. A small, unidentified insect lies on one leaf.
The columbine is an Aquilegia, also known as Granny's Bonnet, is a shade plant that propagates by seed. This shot was taken in my garden in the spring when their blooms are at their best. The texture is from Jai Johnson.

Born and raised in Central Texas, I returned after retiring from a higher ed career. I became seriously interested in photography while living in Dubai. Traveling to Asia, the Middle East, and Africa gave me opportunities to practice and hone my skill as a photographer.
