A painted bunting perches on a tree stem against a textured background. The photograph is enhanced by the yellow flower and cactus spines on part of the stem. This would be a great shot to put in an office, den, or a family room.
This bunting has an amazing combination of colors: a green back, blue head, orange chest and belly. These colors belong to the male; the female is green.
About Peggy Blackwell
Born and raised in Central Texas, I returned after retiring from a higher ed career. I became seriously interested in photography while living in Dubai. Traveling to Asia, the Middle East, and Africa gave me opportunities to practice and hone my skill as a photographer. Now back in Texas, I'm continuing to take lessons and photograph this area and where ever I travel.
